333 At The Beach is a new arrival to the many beach club offerings in Phuket, but this has a distinct difference, being another innovative concept from the team at the Intercontinental Phuket resort. Begin with a themed craft cocktail, perhaps a refreshing elderflower negroni with monsoon silver floral gin, cocchi americano and a splash of olive brine. Continue with char-roasted cabbage, soy sauce, red miso and mushroom garum, with a textural crunch. There is a healthy menu element with morning bowls and energising mixes of chia seeds and bananas or Greek yoghurt and house-made granola. There are excellent plant-based options of grilled eggplant, charred jack fruit or a fruity berry ceviche with leche de tigre. Alternatively, the Peruvian scallop ceviche with almond milk is exquisite. Or go simple with a half dozen cold smoked oysters with smoked root and lemon. A main course of roasted organic chicken aji verde, green chili, cilantro and burnt onion puree is a moist and incredibly piquant delight. Or for a more substantial platter the Thai wagyu short ribs are stellar; cooked slowly with house pickled jalapeno. There are also gourmet pizzas available and a small selection of Thai dishes. The wine list is concise but with a great selection available by glass.
The gourmet choice is undoubtedly the sea bass collar robatayaki glazed with smoked fish bone demi-glace.
