There is something mesmeric in the sense that the aesthetics and attitudes once associated with the hippie movement seem to be reappearing in mainstream culture again. What was once marginal, even condemned in many societies, is now being revisited with renewed curiosity and reinterpretation. In part, this resurgence is not a wholesale revival but rather a reframing.
