Art, for some, might seem like something grand or distant, hanging in museums or sitting behind red ropes at galleries. But for many, art is not a separate part of life. It influences the way we think, the way we dress, the way we create, and even the way we rest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Koktail\u2019s art-themed issue this month, we asked seven creatives across entertainment, music, fashion and film how art fits into their everyday life. Each answer is simple, and shows how art can be many things to many people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Worakamol \u201cJeff\u201d Satur (Jeff Satur)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

For Jeff, art is not something that can be picked up or put down. It is constant and all around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cArt is everything to me,\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cEverything that surrounds me contains art. It\u2019s in the air I breathe. That\u2019s how I see it. It gives me motivation to live, to move, to create. It helps me get through each day and makes my work meaningful.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

There is no need for him to look far for inspiration. The world itself, through Jeff\u2019s lens, is already artful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Natapohn \u201cTaew\u201d Tameeruks (Taew Natapohn)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

For Taew, art gives life its colour and rhythm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cIt brings passion to everything I do,\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

she explains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cNot just in my work but in how I live. It adds energy and feeling to life. For me, art and life are really the same thing. Our life, the way we choose to live, is art in itself.\u201d
<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Taew reminds us that art is not limited to what is made. It can also be found in how we move through the world.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kanawut \u201cGulf\u201d Traipipattanapong (Gulf Kanawut)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

As an actor, Gulf finds himself surrounded by art every day, although it may not always look like it on the surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cThe kind of art I meet daily is acting,\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cRight now I\u2019m working on a few filming projects, which means I step into different roles and characters. Every role is new and comes with its own emotions and challenges. This is one form of art that you constantly have to learn and grow with.\u201d
<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n


For Gulf, the study of performance is not just technical, it is also emotional and human.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Nicha \u201cMinnie\u201d Yontararak (Minnie I-DLE)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Minnie\u2019s world is filled with movement, music and visual expression. Working in entertainment, she sees art as something that naturally surrounds her, both on and off stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cI think art is everywhere,\u201d <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

she says. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cI work in music and fashion, so I feel like every part of my job is connected to it. From how I make music to how I present myself, art is always there.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n


Her life shows how creativity can flow through more than one medium at once, merging sound, style and emotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Naravit \u201cPond\u201d Lertratkosum (Pond Naravit)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For Pond, art is something that helps him rest and reset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cI like looking at art,\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

he shares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt helps me relax, especially on days when I feel tired. I think the great thing about art is that it has many forms. Depending on how I feel, I might look at different styles or colours to help lift my mood.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n


His view of art is not about creating or performing, but also receiving. Sometimes, just being in the presence of art is enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pruk \u201cZee\u201d Panich (Zee Pruk)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Zee believes that art gives structure to life, not in a strict way, but as something that holds you in place.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cTo me, art is something that grounds me,\u201d <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

he says. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cI also think everyone has their own taste. It doesn\u2019t matter if you think something looks artistic or not. Even fashion, design, or making something simple can carry its own style. That is still art, just in your own way.\u201d

His idea reflects a truth. Art does not have to be complex to be real. It just has to be yours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maylada \u201cBow\u201d Susri (Bow Maylada)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bow keeps it simple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBecause art is life,\u201d <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes the most powerful answers need no explanation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is no single way to experience art. It can push you forward, slow you down, give you direction or let you rest. For these artists and creators, it is not a separate part of life, but something that slips into everything they do. From music and film to quiet evenings with colour and texture, art shapes the way they live and work, even if they do not always call it by name.
