The ring\u2019s design is inspired by a maternity brooch, symbolising protection from mothers to children. Its curved shape represents an embrace of hope and support for children in crisis. Proceeds from this initiative help vulnerable children in Thailand and beyond, providing access to education, nutrition and clean water. Key projects include the Highland Schools Project and the Mobile Library Project. Since 2003 UNICEF Thailand has funded salaries for indigenous teachers in 41 highland schools across Mae Hong Son, supporting over 100,000 children and welcoming 1,000 new students annually. Additionally the Mobile Library Project has delivered books to over 11,600 students in five Thai provinces, Chiang Mai, Tak, Mae Hong Son, Yala and Loei, through 10 library vehicles each carrying more than 1,200 books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To mark the launch of the Rose Gold Edition, Koktail Magazine had the opportunity to speak with Sririta Jensen Narongdej, one of the campaign\u2019s heroes, about her role as a mother and advocate for children&#8217;s welfare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.koktailmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/RitaKorn_Couple01-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16407\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.koktailmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/RitaKorn_Couple01-683x1024.jpg 683w, https:\/\/www.koktailmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/RitaKorn_Couple01-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.koktailmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/RitaKorn_Couple01-768x1152.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.koktailmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/RitaKorn_Couple01-1024x1536.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.koktailmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/RitaKorn_Couple01-1365x2048.jpg 1365w, https:\/\/www.koktailmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/RitaKorn_Couple01-scaled.jpg 1707w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-personal-nurture-balancing-parenthood-and-technology\"><strong>Personal Nurture: Balancing Parenthood and Technology<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As a mother, Sririta values spending quality time with her child. She believes in the importance of consistent engagement to foster understanding and strengthen bonds.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-613c27edddb1c1a27aacdd106e923c3f\" style=\"color:#c82c2c\">\u201cSpending quality time with our children regularly helps us understand them better. Activities like cooking together, reading stories or playing music enhance their development at every stage. I also believe that meaningful time spent together provides warmth and security,\u201d <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>she shared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In an era dominated by technology, many parents struggle to find balance between digital engagement and traditional activities. Sririta acknowledges that while technology is an inevitable part of modern life, setting clear boundaries is key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-16898684ef162686cd1ce8e978b3f22b\" style=\"color:#c82c2c\">\u201cEverything is advancing so quickly, but managing time for different activities is essential. We still maintain traditional routines, like reading bedtime stories, which show care and love beyond what technology can offer. At the same time, we establish clear rules to ensure screen time aligns with our child\u2019s developmental needs.\u201d<br><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-a-commitment-to-children-supporting-unicef-s-mission\"><strong>A Commitment to Children: Supporting UNICEF\u2019s Mission<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As parents both Sririta and her husband, Korn Narongdej, feel a strong responsibility to support causes that improve children&#8217;s lives. Their involvement in the Promise Ring campaign aligns with their values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-b7319651d25d7189b404b58457c05c80\" style=\"color:#c82c2c\">\u201cA promise carries faith, hope and love. When we make a promise, it stays in the hearts of those who hear it. I believe in positive change because children are the future we must protect. Ensuring they have better living conditions and education is crucial. We are honoured to be representatives of these promises and to turn them into reality.\u201d<br><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Commitment both as parents and as a couple is something they deeply value.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9e04f9911f10569904c5485acd6785e7\" style=\"color:#c82c2c\">\u201cThe promise to stand by each other, through happiness and hardship, remains as strong as the day we first made it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-love-with-a-cause-a-meaningful-celebration\"><strong>Love with a Cause: A Meaningful Celebration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For Sririta love is not something to be celebrated just on Valentine&#8217;s Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.koktailmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Rita01-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16408\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.koktailmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Rita01-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.koktailmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Rita01-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.koktailmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Rita01-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.koktailmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Rita01-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.koktailmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Rita01-2048x1366.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-78fb6e9a2eae29aa5568f3f5065a0242\" style=\"color:#c82c2c\">\u201cLove should be given every day,\u201d <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-974856abae6020f47182f2a604949436\" style=\"color:#c82c2c\">\u201cBut this year was special because we were part of the Promise Ring campaign, which allows us to share love with children in need and stand by them.\u201d<br><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>She believes that love and compassion are powerful forces for social change especially for children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9d7f5ef466fe168ba5244fe4a09638b0\" style=\"color:#c82c2c\">\u201cLove and kindness have the power to transform lives. They bring happiness, warmth and a sense of worth. Even small acts of giving can create significant change for children who need support.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>With many people exchanging gifts on Valentine\u2019s Day, she encouraged them to consider making a donation to UNICEF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a32bf7c5133c4820dc6d17a59aeb5263\" style=\"color:#c82c2c\">\u201cI wanted to invite everyone who shares love every day to also share it with children in need this year. Giving has no end, and by giving love and opportunities to these children we are making a meaningful difference. I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for spreading kindness.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>She hopes the campaign inspired families to both celebrate love within their homes and also extend it to others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-f4c5e6d691368ddaa7735682d4b34992\" style=\"color:#c82c2c\">\u201cLove that is built on understanding and acceptance can create beautiful things. I hope this campaign warms people\u2019s hearts and reminds them how meaningful it is to share love with children.
