Launched as part of the brand\u2019s 200th-anniversary celebration, this limited-edition single malt combines tradition with artistry, presenting a story rooted in heritage and inspired by forward-looking creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A City, A Legacy<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jerez de la Frontera, a city in Spain’s Andalusia region, holds a special place in The Macallan\u2019s journey. Known as the heartland of sherry wine, it\u2019s here that the brand\u2019s iconic oak casks are seasoned with sherry, imparting the flavours that define their whiskies. With A Night on Earth in Jerez, The Macallan pays tribute to the city\u2019s role in its production process and captures the spirit of the festive season through a lens of cultural and artistic inspiration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This special release draws from a blend of European and American sherry-seasoned oak casks and a rare addition of Pedro Xim\u00e9nez casks, carefully selected to add depth and sweetness. The result is a whisky that evokes the flavours of Spanish traditions, with tasting notes of grapes, pastry and anise\u2014paying homage to local customs like eating 12 grapes at midnight on New Year\u2019s Eve and enjoying the festive treat of Pesti\u00f1os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
