An upcoming transgender documentary called Nel Mio Nome<\/em>, which translates to “Into My Name”, has brought on Elliot Page<\/a> as its executive producer. The film is set to be directed by Italian director Nicolò Bassetti.<\/p>\n Scheduled to premiere in February at the Berlin International Film Festival, the storyline follows a group of four friends in Italy—Nic, Leo, Andrea and Raf—as they come to terms with their identity, transitioning from female to male at different times in their lives. This film will mark Bassetti’s second documentary as a director following Magnificent Fortunes<\/em> back in 2018. Nel Mio Nome<\/em> is based on Bassetti’s own experience witnessing his son’s transition. The filmmaker says that his personal experience as a parent allowed him “to find the necessary self-assurance to approach the protagonists of this story, to delve into their emotions and establish an intimate relationship built on trust and complicity”. He adds, “I am truly grateful to Elliot for adding his lived perspective to help our film find its way in the world.”<\/p>\n\n
