Saratta Chuengsatiansup, the artist behind “Uninspired by Current Events”, captivates audiences with his thought-provoking 3D-rendered images that depict ongoing events in Thailand. With a 195K Instagram followers and 349K Facebook followers, his art could be seen as a medium to raise awareness and address social issues. He captivates audiences with his visually striking artwork. “Uninspired by Current Events” serves as a reminder that art has the power to transcend boundaries and elicit profound emotional responses. Saratta’s ability to translate the complexity of social issues into visually captivating imagery allows viewers to engage with these topics on a deeper level. By distilling the complexities of societal concerns into captivating visual imagery, Saratta challenges conventional modes of understanding, prompts introspection, and compels viewers to question the realities that surround them.<\/p>\n

·        Zen Teh<\/strong><\/p>\n

Singaporean artist and educator, Zen Teh, possesses an unwavering fascination with humankind’s intricate relationship with the natural world. With her mastery of photography and painting, she masterfully expresses her artistic vision. Zen Teh’s works have graced numerous group and solo exhibitions in Singapore, as well as regional showcases in Thailand, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China. As a guest speaker at esteemed environmental conferences like ASEAN Powershift 2015 and Hanoi Innovation Week 2016 on Sustainability, Zen Teh inspires and provokes thought on a global scale.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Currently, Zen Teh’s exhibition, “Land & Water,” is captivating audiences in Bangkok. In this remarkable showcase, she reinterprets the philosophy and paintings of China’s “Sansui” (\u5c71\u6c34) — the interplay of land and water — intertwining it with her own exploration of urbanization and the adverse effects of human actions on the environment. “Land” tells about urban areas that are being invaded and transformed and “Water” tells about the pollution floating on the surface of water, showing the impact of pollution on the ecosystem. Through striking photo sculptures adorning the gallery walls, Zen Teh sheds light on the plight of Chiangrai, Thailand, as it succumbs to human-induced transformation.<\/p>\n

·        Subannakrit Krikum<\/strong><\/p>\n

Subannakrit, a young talented artist, draws inspiration from personal experiences and deep contemplation of real-life situations. His artistic journey is driven by a desire to express his visions and opinions on various social topics that captivate his attention, with a goal of making his art accessible to every generation.<\/p>\n

One notable piece focuses on the prevalent issue of PM2.5 pollution, showcasing his ingenuity and creativity. In this particular artwork, Subannakrit uses colours made from PM2.5 dust to depict the PM2.5 problem. Capturing the view seen through an aeroplane window, amidst the haze of pollutants. Within this unpleasant atmosphere, Indra, the ruler of heaven, holds a significant presence, symbolising the leader of the country responsible for combating the dust that plagues the nation. Subannakrit’s artwork serves as a visual representation of his commitment to raising awareness about environmental issues through art. By utilising PM2.5 particles as a medium, he adds a profound layer of symbolism, capturing the attention and intrigue of viewers. His thought-provoking creations resonate with people from all walks of life, reminding us that environmental problems affect us all. As Subannakrit continues to explore diverse social topics through his artistic endeavours, his aspiration remains steadfast: to create a lasting impact and inspire positive change within society. Currently, his artworks are exhibited under the title “Traditions Transformed.”<\/p>\n
