It was shipped off to America right when cocktail culture was exploding. So yeah, Hennessy&rsquo;s legacy is rooted in cocktails, and it still is today,&rdquo;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-e80e2830-7fff-9abd-865e-b0ec260ea12a\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">he says, with the kind of ease that comes from someone who knows their craft.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-55d86f84-7fff-ca3f-52e6-dec220f7e273\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">He breaks it down simply,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-d992e09f-7fff-eb06-f146-590ae3c8dc53\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">&ldquo;You want a good cocktail? You need quality ingredients. Hennessy&rsquo;s been making cognac since 1765. They&rsquo;re warm, open and so enthusiastic. I talk about Hennessy and cognac a lot, but here, with such a receptive crowd, it&rsquo;s a whole new experience every time. It&rsquo;s been an absolute pleasure.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-be8ddf42-7fff-7215-816e-a352172a7a0c\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 18pt; color: #e03e2d;\">You&rsquo;re loving Thai food&mdash;any favourites so far?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-b15f919e-7fff-b94f-7207-0fff2825339d\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Now here&rsquo;s where Levieux surprises us,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-173c3c75-7fff-db85-2409-2f3dc8cd7b96\">&ldquo;Most Europeans can&rsquo;t handle spicy food, but I actually love it. I&rsquo;m just starting to explore Thai cuisine, and I&rsquo;m hooked. It&rsquo;s fresh, flavourful and completely different from what I&rsquo;m used to. I tried six dishes today at lunch and I&rsquo;ve got a long way to go&mdash;but I&rsquo;m here for it.&rdquo;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mixing It Up\u2014Always<\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-ef029939-7fff-256d-1925-3c3392b3e5cf\" style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; color: #e03e2d; font-size: 18pt;\">What&rsquo;s your go-to Hennessy moment? Neat or cocktails?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&ldquo;No question&mdash;cocktails all the way,&rdquo; Levieux laughs. &ldquo;I prefer Hennessy mixed into a classic Old Fashioned or something playful like a Berry Mojito. Hennessy complements any cocktail, bringing out unique flavours. That&rsquo;s the beauty of it.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-eb38410a-7fff-a47d-0cff-7577af292a93\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">And if he&rsquo;s pairing Hennessy with food?<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-1b22ae25-7fff-c675-4a44-d56197141ca7\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">&ldquo;Thai food, obviously. The flavours, the spices&mdash;it&rsquo;s a perfect match with our cognacs. Hennessy is versatile, just like Thai food.
