Photojournalist Shin is well-known for documenting marine biodiversity for research through photography. Shin has collaborated with several organisations, including National Geographic Thailand, WildAid, IUCN, Ocean Conservancy, Save Our Seas Foundation and more. His work gained international attention and was published in The Washington Post, The New York Times, BBC Earth, The
Guardian, National Geographic and Smithsonian. Shin’s talent, reflected throughout his works, led him to receive multiple awards in
international competitions. In 2017, he appeared on TEDx Bangkok to discuss conservation photography. Later on, he became an Emerging Leaguer for the International League of Conservation Photographers, a representative in the Global Talent Program by the World Press Photo Foundation in Southeast Asia. Shin received the Nature’s Best Photography International Award and Marine Conservation Photographer of the Year 2021. Today, he is involved within the scientific community in which he is focused to encourage sustainable management of the resources as well as shark ecology and conservation in Southeast Asia. He is a recipient of the Mahidol Science Environment & Sustainability Award 2021 (Communicator Award).
