Ruangroj Poonpol is the president of technology and chairman of Kasikorn Business Technology Group, as well as the founder of brands such as 500 TukTuks, Disrupt Technology and Storm breaker Venture. The Stanford University alumnus has been in charge of developing over 400 applications including KPlus, the number one mobile banking app in Thailand. During a stint in Silicon Valley he worked with Google as global lead marketing manager of Google Earth and quantitative marketing manager of Google (Asia Regional lead). Prior to that he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company and an investment manager at a US$1 billion private equity fund. In Thailand he helped to launch dtac Accelerate, a top 3 start-up accelerators in Southeast Asia. The amateur watch collector loves reading and has written two best-selling books.
