Vikarn opened in 2023, promising a Bangkok nightlife experience. This has evolved into a creative spin on fun dining, blending the elegance of fine dining with the vibrant energy of Bangkok’s nightlife. À la carte and themed tasting menus of six and 11 courses are offered at differing price points, with menus changing frequently. The cuisine concept blends traditional Thai preparations, sauces, and flavour profiles with contemporary global influences. Stand-out dishes include Surat Thani giant trevally with caviar and pesto sauce and Phetchabun duck with mushrooms and grilled broccolini. The driving focus is on locally sourced premium artisanal ingredients, including Sakon Nakhon A4 Tajima striploin served with satay sauce and cucumber and accompanied by French brioche. Fusion examples include Chumphon crab coated in Korean udon curry, sprinkled with ikura and pickled mustard greens. To augment one’s dining experience, a number of add-ons are available, including crispy noodles with Hokkaido scallop and caviar and fresh local shrimp in fish sauce. Desserts surprise with combinations of complexity: a pre-dessert of coconut milk, charcoal, rosemary, pecan nuts, and sticky rice and a finale of beetroot, cream cheese, and pandan leaves. The drinks list, particularly the wine pairings, supports the bold food flavours well. Service is friendly, and the playful element of singing with each dish adds charm.
Attractively priced offers are available for parties of 10 diners and above.
