The Tree Top tea house and farmer cafe is located in an elevated position within the Marasca glamping villa resort. The views from the rustic dining room, over a vista of rolling countryside, are breathtaking. The first-floor dining room is simply furnished with open kitchen and an outside terrace, exuding an ambience of farmhouse warmth. This setting perfectly fits the ethos of supporting local farmers with freshest ingredients, picked and served at their best through honest farm to table cooking.
An all-day breakfast features local Khao Yai free range eggs, an adventurous gyudon with onsen egg, showcases sliced Thai wagyu and breads are served with housemade strawberry jam and Khao Yai honey. Appetisers range from crunchy local cauliflower gently fried and accompanied by a spicy remoulade, to refreshing Khao Yai melon with piquant prosciutto.
The diner favourite cheesy beefburger is made with chef's secret blend of local wagyu, but signature fettucine of pork ragu is the showstopper, using three different cuts of organic local pork, cooked low and slow in local red wine and when meltingly tender, tossed through delicate pasta. Pancakes or a boozy tiramisu round off the experience. Drinks include a wide variety of organic teas, tea mocktails and several bespoke tea cocktails. There is a concise wine list with several local gems.
For weekend visits reserve a table on the outdoor terrace wellin advance; you will be glad you did.
