This branch of the celebrated Hong Kong founded Tasty Congee group, is on the corner of a trendy soi intersecting with Thonglor. Simply furnished and petite, resulting in a cosy friendly ambience, matching the quality of the food. The menu is extensive, offering a wide array of Hong Kong style comfort food centred around traditional dim sum. Dishes are traditionally served in authentic bamboo baskets. Diners cannot go wrong with any of the mainstream offerings, from fried turnip cake, barbecue pork buns to crispy pork belly accompanied by the expected mustard sauce, all delivering to expectation.

Noodle soup is the house signature with shrimp dumplings or wonton; beef brisket is a melt in the mouth surprise. The congee is strongly recommended with sliced abalone, topping the ratings. Whilst most diners visit, and return for the impressive range of dim sum, the dessert offering is well worth consideration. The adventurous will be tempted by stewed pear with apricot seed, mango pomelo sago or a slightly rich egg tart, a flaky salted egg puff pastry.

Consider going traditional with an egg custard bun, steamed or deep-fried. The drinks list has lots of tea options, local and imported beers including one from China.
