Intheheart of Old Phuket Town, in a quaint Sino-Portuguese terraced house, lies Surf & Turf by Soul Kitchen serving an inspired menu of small plate dishes, each one a culinary surprise.

The handful of tables and intimate homely feel, with Chef Tom diligently working in the open kitchen, add to the restaurant's ambience and style. Seared with precision, the meaty Japanese scallops are served with white and pink pomelo varieties, dill, coriander and a perfect citrus ponzu sauce. Deconstructed hor mok is an other-worldly take on a Phuket local specialty. Battered sea bass sits alongside a smokey coconut foam, whilst a Thai red curry sauce and pickled vegetables await underneath for this re-imagined classic. Yellow Fin Tuna Pizza presents a crispy roti base, diced tuna tartare topped with pickled radish and mild pepper, mayonnaise and mustard sauce. The mix of flavours play off each other in this crafted palette pleaser. Beef tacos are a joy. Soft whole meal tacos house the melting, smoked Australian beef and tomatoes, paired with an orange piquant sauce. Finally, the Tiramisu has a delectable sponge and mascarpone sprinkled with rich cocoa powder. Pleasantly unsweet, whilst creamy and fulfilling. Surf and Turf has soul in abundance.
