Sizzle sits rooftop at the Avista Hideaway hotel, commanding a stunning vista. The partly covered terrace is popular even when the weather is slightly inclement. Laid-back music and DJ sets provide a suitable ambience, and an international menu features specialties of local seafood and premium imported steaks. Upon arrival, make the short walk to the live seafood tanks to choose a catch of the day or luscious Phuket lobster. Begin with complimentary freshly baked warm focaccia with dips of red and green chimichurri. Continue with slightly charred translucent Hokkaido scallops topped with Parmesan crisp or crunchy tempura battered shrimp in a piquant honey and wasabi sauce. Alternatively, choose beef tartare hand-cut and topped with sousvide egg, drizzled with truffle oil and dusted with gold. Next up, six Fine de Claire number two accompanied by lemon wedges and yuzu kosho mignonette or grilled with scallions, garlic, and coriander. Main courses include live local lobster served with creamy old-bay remoulade. The big attraction is a selection of charcoal-grilled beef from Japanese MB 12, A5 striploin to pure-bred grain-fed MB 6/7 ribeye, and including a choice of tomahawk or T-bone for sharing.
