The vibrant indoor-outdoor setting and tasty treats, which include tapas-style bites, make this a popular venue in the early evening, particularly the terrace area for sundowners and photo opportunities. The menu opens with starters of oysters, cold cuts, cheeses, pâtés and terrines. From the First Impressions section, try classic Niçoise salad of Spanish tuna, white anchovies, black olives, quail eggs, mesclun salad and basil oil, or Lyonnaise salad of smoked duck breast, duck gizzard, diced foie gras terrine, poached egg, bacon and frisée lettuce. Slow-cooked tender lamb shank in natural jus with buttery mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables is highly recommended. Another highlight is traditional duck leg confit, accompanied by sautéed potatoes, mushrooms, spinach and rich dark and slightly sticky duck jus. There is a range of premium Australian steaks, accompanied by a choice of tasty side dishes that include mushroom fricassee, ratatouille and sautéed asparagus. Pasta and risotto options include scampi aglio e olio, house-made fettuccini with prawns, red chilli, garlic and cherry tomatoes. Decadent dark chocolate lava cake is the best way to end an enjoyable dining experience.
