Sam's Steaks and Grill has been a favourite on Phuket for the past thirty years. Timeless, it has consistently maintained its reputation, serving up classics including chateaubriand and beef wellington. A glass enclosed wine cellar is the visually stunning backdrop as diners arrive, to be greeted by Khun Supachai Khuadkeaw, who has managed Sam's for over twenty years. There are several premium seafood options available such as tempting Phuket lobster, simply grilled, or served in a perfectly balanced light curry, but this is the place for steaks. Choose from an extensive global range, including tajima wagyu sirloin or Australian grass-fed ribeye. The current menu also features several local cuts, from French and Thai cross-bred stock, fed on rice and worth trying. All are accompanied by your preferred sauce and vegetable side. Whilst the steaks take centre stage, appetisers are executed at an equally high level. One may choose from the house signature Caesar salad, prepared tableside or a beef tartare, again, engaging diners with a touch of theatre. Alternately enjoy a decadently creamy lobster bisque, containing a delicate, seafood ravioli within. Desserts either a light creme brulee or a richer marshmallow chocolate fondant, both memorable. The wine menu includes both old and new world bottles, chosen to pair well with the cuisine.
