Pan Burger a newcomer to the Phuket scene is quickly generating a loyal following based on, some say, cooking the best burger on the island. Enter the simple shopfront and be warmly greeted by proprietor Khun Pan, take a look at the menu and realise you are in for a memorable burger. The selection of dishes is extensive for such a petite outlet, with variety to suit all. Signature fried chicken sits alongside Caesar and burrata salads, however most diners visit for the stellar burgers. The exact composition of the main event, three cuts of Khao Yai beef to maximise flavour, fat and juiciness is a closely guarded secret. The burgers are smashed, but not too thinly, grilled and placed within a cold-fermented brioche with a sourdough and yeast starter. A genius combo to help digest more easily, whilst enjoying a fully packed flavour bomb. Options are many, from the 150g prime wagyu truffle cheeseburger to the signature "my way" offering. Free range chicken burgers are on offer with similarly yummy fillings. Sides will delight with crunchy panko-crumbed onion rings, skin-on fries and loaded fries including bacon, onion and cheese. Desserts include diner style American pancakes and a stylish French toast. The drinks list includes, soft drinks, milk shakes, craft and local beers.
