Situated on the upper floor of a boutique mall in Sukhumvit 49, and typically busy all day, the ambience is casual and fun. The menu offers lots at friendly prices, with dishes delivered at brisk pace, making for an ideal venue for a quick lunch or early evening bite. Begin with a comforting freshly made creamy mushroom soup or an exceptionally good gambas ajillo of juicy garlic prawns accompanied by slightly charred ciabatta, to mop up the juices.

Other tapas of note, include chorizo in rich red wine jus and a refreshingly piquant salmon with Thai chili dressing and wasabi. Follow with the specialty of pasta; choose from mainstream tagliolini or shell shaped conchiglie or crimped black ink reginette. A wide choice of sauces includes aglio- olio or classic carbonara, decadently eggy. Cacio e pepe with generously shaved pecorino and lots of black pepper is a winner. Cleverly conceived fusion dishes of Japanese ingredients with pasta are worth a try with a favourite of spaghetti with cod roe cream and seaweed. Mains of meats include a stellar striploin and an impressive pork chop, sous vide low and slow, accompanied by gnocchi in vibrant green pesto. Finish with a simple affogato. Drinks include stellar sodas and a short selection of wines, available by glass and bottle.
