Review

Upon arrival, one is immersed in a warm and inviting ambience, likened to dining at a close friend's home. The atmosphere is further enhanced by earthy tones of brown and orange. This coupled with extensive greenery and trees offering pleasant shade, both interior and exterior combines tasteful woody elements to great effect; indeed, a charming dining venue. Begin with a tasty Thai sour soup with lotus stem and shrimp, the lotus stem adding a delightful crunch. Stir-fried green bean, pickled turnip, and pickled garlic with eggs is equally moreish, with a perfect balance of sweetness highlighting the slightly charred undertones. Another favourite is deep-fried sea bass, featuring a crispy outer texture and a juicy almost translucent flesh accompanied by an enticing tamarind sauce. Alternatively choose stir-fried minced pork with salted fish and salted egg, a medley of complex flavours and aromas. As for desserts, try the lusciously rich strawberry cream cake or alternatively, a lighter option, coconut ice cream is a great choice. There is a wide selection of beverages, including a butterfly pea latte which pairs well with all the desserts. The little gimmick of ringing a bell to call the attentive and friendly staff is fun but hardly necessary.
