Self-styled as the goodtime restaurant, Mami Rose is part of the glamorous line-up on EmSphere’s 5th floor, EmWonder, the newest nightlife zone in town. From the team behind Pastel, this neon-lit venue takes diners on a globe-spanning culinary journey likely followed by a full-blown, DJ-fuelled night. Come dressed up—the young and well-heeled clientele certainly do. Diving into the eclectic menu is an experience in itself. Pairing Miami’s audacity with fine dining finesse, Mami Rose offers a taste of celebration and an extravagant, 80s-tinged lifestyle. Start with a sharing platter of Mami mezze, a curation of truffle burrata, spicy kimchi, tzatziki, guacamole, codfish tarama, blinis, and assorted breads. Then, take a bite of the smoked lobster bao, a sandwich filled with plump lobster meat, aioli sauce, lettuce, and coriander mayonnaise. For something more substantial, order sole meunière, a wild-caught French Dover sole pan-fried to perfection in lemon brown butter, accompanied by crunchy, green broccolini, or rich and lobster mac and cheese. Butternut and mushroom risotto topped with hazelnuts is a stellar choice, not just for vegetarians. Pair with a tropical, flamingo-pink signature cocktail or two and finish with the sensational affogato.
