Luna La Pran is set back slightly from the beach road in Pak Nam Pran, at the Sheraton Pranburi Villa's vast resort. It's a decent walk from the car park but a hotel buggy is available to spirit visitors to the restaurant, set in a spacious open garden, with inside and outside dining. This is a comfortable venue in which to spend a relaxed evening. Dining options range from familiar Thai classics with a local specialties to international salads, pastas and meats. To begin, choose a yam woon sen talay, generously laden with prawns, fish, squid, onions and tomatoes, all wonderfully fresh, in a zesty lime sauce. Caesar salad has an unusually piquant dressing which makes it a delightful alternative. For main course, perhaps a grilled salmon fillet accompanied by sauteed vegetables and a delectable butter and lime sauce infused with garlic. Honey pork ribs is perfectly executed and served with French fries or your choice of sides. It is rare that a dessert steals the show but whole Pranburi coconut, a homemade coconut ice cream served in a freshly cut coconut with condiments is the perfect finale. The wine, cocktails and spirits list is extensive and local beers and juices are available.
