Larder is the brainchild of two illustrious yet unassuming, Polish culinarians, Radek, a butcher, and Adrian, a baker. They opened Larder in mid-2022, with the intention of offering premium sandwiches, packed full of locally sourced ingredients with a focus on charcuterie and bread. The place has an industrial warehouse vibe and open kitchen with super-friendly service staff. However, concealed below this surface of rustic simplicity lie levels of sophistication, not experienced in a run-of-the-mill deli. The talent of the two proprietors is easily discernible across the daytime menu, whether one chooses bestsellers such as, tuna 3000 on sourdough or croque khun poo ying. A plate of world class organic and natural, charcuterie can include unforgettable coppa, or pasztet a Polish style baked pate with sourdough or focaccia. They truly cemented a place within Bangkok's dining landscape when launching their short term, pop-up evening repertoire. An expanded menu with invariably ten natural wines offered by glass, bread, hand cut at a central table and incredible anchovy butter set the scene. From pan-fried scallops with tons of butter to a smoked ragu pappardelle, finished off with a sublime lemon tart. Hopefully, one day soon, their stellar dinner offering will return. This is a neighbourhood eatery par excellence!
The house-made charcuterie and artisanal home-made breads are truly unmissable.
