La Familiare is located in the recently opened Pattaya Marriott Resort and Spa in Na Jomtien Pattaya, seating only 38 customers around an open kitchen to replicate the feeling of eating with family and friends at home. Chef Marcello Piacentini has masterfully made his mark providing authentic Italian cuisine in a delightful atmosphere. Restaurant manager Suttipong Aiamnu expertly explains the story behind each dish, detailing choices of ingredients to guide customers to select foods to suit their tastes. Tuna tartare features locally caught yellow fin bonito tuna combined with compressed watermelon, truffle aioli, chives and charcoal bread croutons, a delicious combination. Follow that with delicious pasta with a vodka sauce, spicy imported Nduja ham and creamy vodka tomato sauce. Caprese & prosciutto pizza is prepared on a healthy charcoal crust, enriched with active charcoal powder from coconut shells. Freshly made tiramisu, presented by pastry chef, Suparat Saenchai, makes for a wonderful finish. The menu features a wide variety of Italian appetisers, home- made pastas, meats and grills and a selection of pizzas, served on either a charcoal crust or a more traditional Neapolitan style. La Familiare provides an authentic Italian meal, complemented by a thoughtful wine list, in a very pleasant atmosphere with extremely helpful and friendly service. Many of the recommended wines are available by the glass as well as by bottle.
