Infiniti is the Intercontinental Pattaya Resort's signature restaurant. Located oceanfront, following a brisk walk through the extensive and well-kept lush greenery, nothing quite prepares you for this breathtaking sea vista. With a spacious terrace extending outwards a table open to the elements on all sides is essential to fully appreciate the experience. The menu is Mediterranean,but includes a gamut of other classy European dishes. Once seated, a warm and fluffy housemade loaf will swiftly arrive, accompanied by an array of butters and dips. Begin with a classic combo of seared pearlescent scallop with crunchy pork belly and silky cauliflower puree, or a refreshingly cool gazpacho dressed with croutons and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Alternatively choose a pizza or pasta to share, the blue crab spaghetti a winner. There is also a braised lamb ragu, cooked low and slow for that falling off the bone melt in the mouth desired sensation, tossed through fine angel hair. The main event here are the grilled steaks with choices of grain-fed ribeye, and a stunning striploin from Rangers Valley. Sides include delicately charred asparagus, with pine nuts and a buttery mash. Finish with a classic tiramisu or a chocolate brownie sundae. The wine list has several surprises available by the glass.
