This fledgling eatery, recently celebrating its first anniversary, has already established itself as a popular spot in the Cherngtalay area for both contemporary and classic Italian cuisine. Set comfortably back from the nearby hustle and bustle of Boat Avenue, Five Olives has a casual yet classy feel. If you're passing by for lunch, take advantage of the cool interior and temperature offered indoors. However, if you're booked for dinner, opt to dine al fresco amid the warm lights and plants. In addition to generously portioned antipasti, pastas, salads and steaks on offer, diners at Five Olives should sample one of the restaurant's renowned Napoletana pizzas, with sweet San Marzano tomato base and signature canotto-style puffy, air-bubbled crust. Choosing one of the signature dishes is also recommended, such as the Five Olives salad or the Five Olives pasta - the former, a tangy take on Caesar salad with cauliflower, and the latter, a creamy and lightly spiced dish of smoked salmon, anchovies, capers, cherry tomatoes, olives and wild rocket. A gelato tops the meal off perfectly. Complementing the variety and quality of the Five Olives menu is the wine list, Italian-inspired cocktails and an Aperol spritz bar.
