Situated in the contemporary surroundings of the Public House hotel lobby, Fest has a relaxed and welcoming vibe. An all-day dining venue offering a range of snacks, appetizers and salads that complement a selection of pizzas, pastas, mains and seafood dishes drawn from all corners of the globe. Vegan and vegetarian options are available. Fest is big on sharing plates, so start by grabbing two forks and diving into the generously sized portion of signature pappardelle mushroom accompanied by a hot skillet of meatballs served with a light rocket salad. Mushroom sauce is satisfyingly creamy and meatballs are rich, so the salad greens provide an excellent counterpoint of sharpness. Carnivores will enjoy the Jasper-grilled flat iron steak accompanied by a medley of equally well-grilled market vegetables. Also excellent is Jasper-grilled Australian mussels with a garlic confit and white wine sauce and accompanied with juicy garlic bread to soak up the remnants of sauce. End on a suitably decadent note with chocolate lava cake. It may require a 15-minute wait but patience is rewarded with a symphony of smooth Madagascar vanilla ice cream and crispy-baked hot sponge oozing dark velvety chocolate lava. Also try one of the many artisanal coffees on offer as the perfect foil to a stellar dessert.
