Eat Me is one of Bangkok's true landmark restaurants. The successful formula of a dimly lit, yet atmospheric, interior with a globally focused menu has won many plaudits over the years. Veteran chef Tim Butler continues to lead the kitchen in a timeless style. Whilst trends come and go Eat Me remains consistently an enjoyable dining experience. Begin with pan-seared sea scallops in an elegant lobster bisque with chorizo, the scallops are delightfully caramelized on the exterior and within a pearlescent sheen. Alternatively luxe sea urchin bruschetta with piquant tomato salsa and Serrano ham is simply a perfect combo. There is a wide choice of salads, that includes a favourite of heirloom tomatoes dressed in a punchy bloody mary gazpacho, with white anchovies, parma ham and quail eggs all irresistibly good. Main courses are equally memorable with a sharing platter of a Diamantina Shire wagyu tomahawk, accompanied by bone marrow, rosemary and asparagus. Alternatively, choose grilled Iberico pluma with chimichurri or Australian wagyu tenderloin with padron peppers surrounded by cabernet wine sauce, one of the best in town. Dessert options include sticky date pudding with hot butterscotch sauce, a tropical pavlova or a flourless chocolate cake; why not order all three? A stellar wine offering by glass and bottle has something for everyone, helpfully indicated with astute tasting notes.
Enjoy a pre or post-dinner cocktail from a wonderfully tempting array of Thai and signature mixes.
