As one of the first warriors on the vegan eatery front Broccoli Revolution has managed to stay current in the battle for the patronage of the plant-eating public. This cafe style eatery, you place your order at the counter and the ever-efficient and friendly wait team bring your choices to the table, has a contemporary air with typically healthy-looking diners fresh from a yoga or Pilates class chatting about the issues of the day.
The relaxed slightly haphazard furnishings add to the atmosphere, complimented by the variety of good comfort food on offer. The menu is eclectic from Thai to Asian to western to ethnic, including Mexican and with an all-day offering. There is a welcome absence of fake meat additions with a wide variety of clean plant-based options. The dragon roll has claims for being one of the best vegan dishes in Bangkok and the signature Broccoli quinoa charcoal burger holds its own in the battle for best-burger in town. A good selection of breakfast bowls accompanied by a smoothie or cold-pressed juice work well for morning visits and the natural wine selection of half a dozen labels complements a lunch or dinner. A selection of tasty home-made desserts and some very-frozen vegan ice cream mini-tubs are ideal to prolong the meal and enjoy the friendly atmosphere.
Broccoli Revolution is run on a non-profit basis to help support owner Sakson's
SATI Foundation.
