Located on the beach in the grounds of Hua Hin Marriott Resort and Spa, Big Fish & Bar offers excellent fare in splendid serenity. Whether seated on the terrace enjoying a light, cooling zephyr or inside with a grand stand view of the open kitchen, diners are assured of a warm welcome. A refreshingly short menu which has evolved over time, offers sufficient variety for most tastes from professionally executed meats to a catch of the day seafood option, cooked in a variety of styles. Chef Ness has risen through the ranks and is now charged with maintaining the high standards that Big Fish & Bar is renowned for. Rock lobster tortellini in a rich and creamy bisque with saffron foam is an exciting and satisfying entree, as is pan-seared scallops with miso, green peas, shimeji and a squid ink tuile. For main course, charcoal grilled lamb rack with sauteed spinach is the signature dish for a reason. Wagyu beef striploin is supremely succulent, accompanied by a bone marrow butter and a pleasant assortment of vegetables. The desserts are unmissable treats with baba au rhum or exotic garden being two standout offerings. The wine list is particularly comprehensive with a tempting selection also available by the glass.
