Koktail & Tourism Authority of Thailand
Thailand’s Favourite Restaurants, in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), introduces season 2 of “Culinary Gems of Thailand”, with six new episodes hosted by Natalie Phanphensophon and Nigel Oakins. They venture into the daily lives of Thailand’s most interesting chefs and in this episode, the delightful dishes are served in a charming Lanna home-style resort with views of the Mon Cham hills.
Natalie and Nigel visited Baan Mon Muan in the rainy season and enjoyed marvellous misty vistas as well as great food. The name itself, originating from the language spoken in northern Thailand, means the “Hill of Fun,” embodying a place of happiness for all who visit. Simple Thai cuisine and traditional Northern Thai dishes beautifully presented, using fresh vegetables and ingredients for visitors to enjoy while looking at the view of the mountains from the Lanna-style resort with stunning individual wooden guest houses. For over two decades, Sue Suaraya Weerasethakul and Rath Sirirat Ruengchai have poured their hearts into making Baan Mon Muan a great place to eat and stay ably watched over by house-cats Moo Ping and Khao Niao.
