Review

This is Ang Morr's second branch located within Central Chidlom. A stylish open layout, proving popular with shoppers for lunch, or a bite at the end of the day. Ang Morr's concept is a step into the past, with recipes retracing the diverse history of foreign food culture in Thailand. The dishes are super elegant in presentation, reimagining and refining the cook shops established by Chinese chefs during the reign of King Rama IV. This is chic western, Chinese and Thai fusion. Begin with dim sum of seared scallops with scallion or nibbles of cheesy pork shumai both packed with flavour, or the visually stunning and very tasty gold fish har gow with truffle, fancy prawn dumplings, shaped like cute goldfish.

Continue with one of the stellar signature dishes, cook shop steak salad of fried tenderloin or maggi marinated pork chop with a gravy that conjures up memories, or Chinese chicken curry in yellow curry sauce, chicken drumsticks served with Thai cucumber relish, a blend of cultures. Ang Morr Taiwanese braised beef noodles is a stand out, Szechuan chili soup partnering textural noodles and flavourful beef brisket is a kitchen achievement. Complete your meal with frozen egg ice cream or Chinese toffee banana, both delightful. Enjoy innovative smoothies, fresh juices and iced tea or coffee to drink.
