Graduate of Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Naraphat, or Ball, identifies as a “Perfect Flower” when referring to gender. He is an employee of a sustainability-oriented arts and crafts design company, but outside that he is also a professional photographer and distinguished artist, having acquired the Young Thai Artist Award in 2016 in the photography category. His medium? Flowers. The floriography in his works explore themes of inequality, gender issues, LGBT, and on a personal level past trauma. His art has been exhibited in Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, the Philippines, South Korea, China, and Spain. Most recently, his project, Gushing Out My Confession, was displayed in the Festival Photo Exhibition held in Heidelberg, Germany, under the theme “Queer Is Not Anti”. An ardent fan of Anne Geddes photography and Diane Warren’s music, Naraphat still makes regular visits to the Pak Klong Talad flower market to buy flowers for his work.
