Do you love luxury or are you more of a down to earth traveller? It doesn’t matter which because according to a new study by Traveller’s Elixir, you can now plan your vacation based on the world’s least, and most affordable places to travel without breaking the bank. The study is based on attraction, transportation, food and hotel prices.
All of the top ten least affordable travel destinations in the world are apparently in either Europe or North America. Monaco comes in as the most expensive travel destination with an average five-day trip costing $2,258 (77,765 baht) per person excluding flights.
In contrast, not a single city is located in Europe or North America for the most affordable travel destinations in the world, with Delhi, India coming in top at an average cost of $181 (6,233 baht) for a five-day trip. As you can see, the difference in these prices is crazy!
If you're a connoisseur of luxury, your heart might flutter at the expensive accommodations, fine dining, and exploring exclusive attractions. However, if your spirit craves a more down-to-earth adventure, where the joy lies in mingling with locals, devouring street food, and unearthing hidden gems then the world holds boundless treasures to suit your wanderlust.
