A list of curated events in and around Bangkok to help you plan your week

Turning a new leaf in November, we’ve queued up a handful of sense-stimulating events to take you from the AM to the PM. A Nordic Film Festival, gallery openings, art installations, and music festival—say no more!

Nordic Film Festival 2022

Nordic countries all made the top 10 World Happiness Report, so what could be more fitting than for this year’s Nordic Film Festival 2022 to have the theme of “Nordic Happiness”. Exploring subjects of inclusivity, autonomy, and nature, the three-day event showcases five films from five different Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden—capturing what it means to embody Nordic Happiness.

Bangkok Art Biennale 2022

Bridging the space between Western and Eastern art, the Bangkok Art Biennale (BAB) is back to feature more than 70 groundbreaking artists from 35 countries. With more than 200 artworks to showcase, the venues are sprawled across Bangkok’s beloved artistic hub, including monuments like Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC), Museum Siam, Samyan Mitrtown, and tourist spots like Wat Arun, Wat Pho, and more.

Until February 23

Growing In Between

Saratta art space presents Nuttapong ‘Nut Dao’ Daovichitr’s solo exhibition. Growing in Between explores the ebb and flow of the transformative stage. The change within the physical and mental being is represented through harsh lines and semi-abstract brush strokes, leaving a bleary form for the audience to decipher.

Saratta, Reno Hotel Bangkok, 40 Kasem San 1 Alley
November 12-January 8, 10am-7pm (Closed Monday and Thursday)

Wonders of Nature

For those in need of a quick getaway, King Power Mahanakhon brings ‘nature’ to the concrete jungle with the Wonders of Nature exhibition. High up on the 74th floor, the skyscraper has transformed itself into four different zones. The Cloud of You corner pulls the sky close within arm's reach and is perfect for a photo op. The Shiny Bubble area mimics the calmness underwater, urging you to leave all your troubles behind. Meanwhile, Forest Square explodes with enigmatic and daunting fairytale elements, and The Way to Paradise explores a scenic beach at dawn speckled with glistening jellyfish.

74th Floor, King Power Mahanakhon, 114 Naradhiwat Rajanagarindra Road
