Koktail presents three exciting events this year: The Ultimate Street Food Festival ...
The Ultimate Street Food Festival 2025 kicked off on 30 October at Gaysorn Amarin, marking a successful opening night filled with good food and great energy. Running until 1 November, between 10 am-8 pm, the festival will also feature curated performances by artists from neo-baannok.
The event celebrates Thailand’s popular street food and local flavours as prepared by well-known restaurants, highlighting Thailand’s food culture with dishes available at just 100-200 THB each.
Supported by Gaysorn Village, Wine Now, Sake Merchant, and Merai Thailand, along with media partners Thairath Online, Thairath Plus, Mirror, CNN, and Gastrofilm, the event highlights Thailand’s rich culture and renowned cuisine.
Jitsupa “Nick” Vacharaphol, Co-CEO of Thairath TV and Thairath Online, and Thanavalai “Nat” Vacharaphol, Founder of Mirror Thailand, joined Nigel Oakins of Media Magination, publisher of Koktail and Time Out, to show their support for the festival, with Merai Thailand.
The celebration was graced by Thawedet Thong-on, Executive Director of the Event Department, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), representing Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand. In his opening remarks, he stated:
“First of all, it is both an honour and a pleasure for the Tourism Authority of Thailand to be part of today’s event. This occasion marks a wonderful step in elevating Thailand’s street food culture, bringing it into a major retail space while still keeping it authentic and accessible to everyone.
Importantly, this doesn’t mean that the standards or quality of the food are compromised. In fact, that is the heart of this event by celebrating Thai street food at its finest.
For the Tourism Authority of Thailand, food has always been an essential part of our cultural identity. Thai cuisine is recognised and appreciated all over the world, with countless Thai restaurants abroad showcasing our rich culinary heritage. Here at home, food remains a key strategy in attracting international visitors to experience Thailand for themselves.
Beyond that, food represents the beauty of art, culture, and good health. Today, therefore, is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate all of that together.
On behalf of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, I would like to thank Gaysorn Amarin, Time Out, and Koktail Thailand for making this event possible.
We wish the festival every success, and hope everyone enjoys the incredible flavours of Thai cuisine. Thank you very much.”
The event was also graced by Charn Srivikorn, Chairman of Gaysorn Land Asset Management Co., Ltd., who presented a bouquet to Nigel Oakins to congratulate him and commemorate this partnership.
To conclude the opening ceremony, Thawedet Thong-on, Charn Srivikorn, and Nigel Oakins participated in an official photo session.
With over 20 booths, visitors can enjoy three days of specially prepared tasting plates from some of Thailand’s leading chefs and restaurants, including:

The atmosphere came alive with a live performance by Zeedox in the afternoon (1–2 pm), while Justin Mills’ DJ set in the evening set the mood with a mix of music genres, adding rhythm and charm to the culinary celebrations.
From 10 am to 8 pm, visitors can indulge in classic Thai dishes and creative bites, sip on refreshing drinks from local Thai suppliers, and enjoy the warm, vibrant spirit that defines the event.
