Find the best festive restaurants in Bangkok for Christmas gatherings

Last-minute plans happen, and we understand why. Between clearing deadlines, squeezing in errands, and counting down to the long holiday, the days have a habit of slipping away. Then suddenly, it’s Christmas.

This edition of Koktail Kuisine keeps those moments in mind. We’ve curated a selection of restaurants that suit the festive mood while fitting into a busy schedule.

Intimate feels exactly right at Bisou. It’s a natural choice for date nights, yet just as fitting for a relaxed evening with friends. For the festive season, the restaurant leans into a playful mood, complete with an upside-down Christmas tree placed at the heart of the space.

4/10 Kraz

“Kraz” takes its name from a playful, onomatopoeic French slang that echoes the crisp sound of galette batter as it cooks. This French crêperie centres on a relaxed brunch-style experience, with a bistro atmosphere inspired by the coastal charm of Brittany. Recently, the restaurant opened its second branch at Siam Paragon, an easy-to-reach location that works well for casual catch-ups.

The menu is divided into two sections: crêpes and galettes. Galettes focus on savoury combinations. Fillings range from classic pairings such as ham, cheese and sunny-side-up egg to more local touches, including krapao and pickled green mango. Apart from galettes, one standout is the Frenchie, a pressed croissant served with a soft egg for dipping.

Crêpes, on the other hand, lean towards the sweeter side. Options include a buttery crêpe with blueberry jam, or peanut butter with Nutella, simple, familiar flavours done well.

5/10 Le Café des Stagiaires

Le Café des Stagiaires is named after the French phrase for a spot where young interns gather over drinks in a cosy setting. The atmosphere feels easy and social, with a full European menu built around the pleasure of sharing, drawing mainly from French and Belgian traditions. It suits the spirit of Christmas well, when meals become more communal.

The menu focuses on well balanced dishes made with quality ingredients rather than strict clean eating. Christmas visits can start gently with broccoli soup or egg and avocado on toast, followed by fresh salads, wraps or pasta dishes. Protein options such as sous vide chicken, salmon steak and prawn pesto pasta make it easy to enjoy a satisfying meal without feeling heavy. Desserts like acai bowls and carrot cupcakes offer a festive treat, while coffee and smoothies round out the experience.
